Expressions of interest to attend hearings open to the public
The Inquiry has today opened registration for the public to express their interest in attending its first week of hearings in September. The proceedings will begin on Tuesday 10 September with opening statements from Counsel to the Inquiry and from legal representatives on behalf of Core Participants. The proceedings will take place at the Inquiry’s venue at Liverpool Town Hall.
Public Gallery attendance
For in-person attendance, individuals are invited to express their interest to attend via our website registration form. The hearing will take place at Liverpool Town Hall, High St, Liverpool L2 3SW.
Seats in the viewing gallery are limited and will be allocated in sign up order. Please note registration for the first week of hearings closed on Tuesday 3 September 2024.

- The Thirlwall Inquiry has been set up to examine events at the Countess of Chester Hospital and their implications following the trial, and subsequent convictions, of former neonatal nurse Lucy Letby of murder and attempted murder of babies at the hospital.
