Special measures for parents giving evidence to the Inquiry determined
Lady Justice Thirlwall, has made a Restriction Order dated 1 August 2024 to give effect to how she will hear evidence in Part A of the Inquiry, given by the parents of the children named on the indictment. The Restriction Order means that the parents will be able to give their evidence in a private session to the Chair, with their legal representatives present, either in person, or remotely.
A transcript of the parents’ evidence will be made available on the Inquiry’s website once it has been ciphered to protect their anonymity and redacted in case of any identifying information which might breach the Reporting Restriction Orders of the Crown Court or any Restriction Orders.
